Emuki — Terms of Use

Please read these Terms carefully before using Emuki (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App and delete it.

1. What the App Is

The App is a retro console emulator for iOS. It reproduces the behaviour of several early handheld and home consoles in software so that you can run game files (ROMs) that you supply yourself.

2. Game Files and Lawful Use

You are solely responsible for ensuring that every game file you import has a lawful source, including but not limited to:

• backups you created from cartridges you legally own, using a cartridge reader;
• homebrew or freeware released for free by its authors with permission to use;
• other files for which you hold an explicit licence from the rights holder.

Copying, downloading, or distributing copyrighted games without authorisation is unlawful in most jurisdictions. You bear full legal responsibility for the files you import, use, or share. We do not review the source or legality of your files and accept no liability arising from them.

3. Your Responsibilities

• Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose, or to circumvent technical protection measures in order to obtain unauthorised content;
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, or commercially resell the App, except where mandatory law permits;
• Do not interfere with the operation of the App or attempt to bypass its subscription mechanisms;
• Keep your device and account secure; actions taken in the App are deemed to be yours.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

The App offers a free tier and two paid subscription tiers (Pro and Max). The entitlements of each tier are as displayed on the in-app membership page.

• Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple Account;
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period;
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period;
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions;
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we cannot issue refunds directly;
• Use "Restore Purchases" on the membership page to recover entitlements on a new device or reinstall.

The free tier displays interstitial advertisements. Paid tiers do not.

5. Invite Rewards

The App offers an invite-code mechanism: when a new user successfully binds another user's invite code, both parties receive a limited period of first-tier membership. This benefit has no cash value and is non-transferable. If a paid subscription is active, reward time is paused and resumes after the subscription ends. We reserve the right to revoke rewards obtained through abuse, including but not limited to bulk registration or fraudulent binding.

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is". We strive for accuracy and stability but do not warrant that every game will run perfectly, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for save-file corruption, lost progress, or other losses caused by emulation inaccuracy, software defects, system updates, or device differences. Please back up important saves regularly.

7. Third-Party Content

The App may let you import third-party interface skins or connect to third-party achievement services. Such content and services are the responsibility of their respective providers; we accept no liability for their content, availability, or policies.

8. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or in release notes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate your access to part or all of the App if you breach these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are subject to the mandatory provisions of the law of your place of habitual residence that cannot be excluded by agreement. To the extent permitted by law, other matters shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
